I worry when I see unbroken run-ups without continual consolidations in the price action of markets. This makes me worry about a sharp, unexpected downturn. What I like to see is a few weeks at least of sideways consolidation, then a continued move upwards. We saw this exact thing happen at the $3200.00 – $3400.00 level.
What are the prospects of a consolidation at this level happening? The bases of support for the price are still there namely:
- Money printing/inflation at greater than reported rates
- Artificially low Interest rates
- Market inefficient Tariffs
- Global geopolitical tensions:
- Trade tensions
- Strategic resource tensions eg China restricting rare earths
- War ignition triggers in various places
- Economic slowing and inefficiencies
- Falling home sales due to demographics, job losses and unaffordability
- US government is still in shutdown
- As of now the central banks are still filling their coffers with gold and now silver
- Weakening confidence in the dollar
I see no macro reason, nor technical reason for dumping gold or silver at this point. The charts are overbought, but this can persist for a long time.
We anticipate a possible consolidation or even retraction, but we are not at the end of the run in our opinion. We are only now seeing some retail participation in this run, the last time there was buying, the price was under $2000/oz.
We are nowhere near the mania we saw in 2011. They say, a bull market climbs a wall of worry. So the more fearful one is that it must be corrected, likely pointing to a longer run ahead.
PLATINUM
SELL: (14 October 2025). The spike in the Platinum price has been spectacular.

URANIUM
BUY: (22 August 2025) URA. Some indicators are pointing up. It looks overbought on the stochastic. OBV is holding up, delaying an imminent sell signal. I would watch carefully, it looks due for a correction.

BITCOIN AND GOLD
BUY Gold versus Bitcoin (06 October 2025). Gold outperforms Bitcoin.

ETHUSD: SELL: (10 October 2025). The trend still looks down.

BTCUSD: SELL: 10 October 2025. NASDAQ (Cyan).

GOLD AND SILVER STOCKS
26 September 2025 Gold outperforms gold stocks. Indicators are positive, but the ratio is not showing the change yet.

Silver outperforms silver stocks (18 September 2025). Looking overbought, but no change indicated yet.

GOLD AND SILVER
Silver to Gold Ratio
Silver is outperforming Gold. Signal given (18 September). When we think that silver is coming out of the ground at about 8:1 and the Gold: Silver ratio is 82.82, something is way out of kilter. Silver is an astounding buy at this time, or gold is in for an extremely heavy correction. Love seeing the ratio move in the right direction.

GOLD TO USD
Gold outperforms the USD (as of 25 August 2025). Showing signs of being overbought but holding well.
