A look at the Gold and Silver Charts (13.02.2025)

Pennies to Heaven- Ben Garrison cartoon

The one-cent US coin has been consigned to heaven.

This is not the first time I have encountered this phenomenon. I saw it with the UK Penny and with the South African Cent.

It is the easiest way of seeing inflation run rampant. When it costs more to produce the smallest coin than it has value, we know that inflation is out of control or has been for quite a while.

At one point it was far cheaper to drill coins to use as washers, in production, than to buy equivalent washers. A really sad state of affairs.

Zimbabwe was a classic case of wild inflation, where more and more naughts were being printed on the notes just to keep up with the skyrocketing inflation. Here is an image of a hundred trillion dollar note.

A responsible reserve bank and contained government spending together with consumer confidence, keep a lid on inflationary expectations. Once a combination of these are lost Zimbabwe-type inflation can be expected.

Printing one’s way out of crisis is certainly not a long term solution to solving massive debt problems.

A revaluation of the price of gold is one solution. I see more and more articles proposing this ‘fix’.

In my opinion all people opposing DOGE should be investigated. What a win to have a trustworthy entity look into corruption, theft, and coercion. The misallocation of funds affects the entire society and the costs of running it.

I think they will find far more than even they believe.

How is it possible that a judge restricts access to properly qualified people? What is the judge thinking?

Sadly no arrests yet for inappropriate allocation of funds.

I am excited that Tulsi Gabbard has been approved for her position. I look forward to seeing real results.
