A look at the Gold and Silver Charts (10.04.2025)

How tariffs works

Maybe that is how tariffs work. I am not so convinced. This is a grand manipulation by Trump to reverse the ever expanding debt, to bring jobs back onshore to the US. To bring any country which has trade with the US and to get them at the table for negotiations. To reduce government employment, which is unproductive and acts as a block to new development, to fix or eliminate the tax system.

When taxes are reasonable more people pay them less grudgingly.

My opinion is he will achieve his goals and then reduce the tariffs to around 10% across the board. China, I am not so sure. At last, they recognize the depth to which China has taken control of all the areas the US has neglected over the past number of years.

Regarding the markets, it has been a real rollercoaster ride. The precious metals initially took a beating and then started a recovery on Wednesday?. On Wednesday we had an intraday move-up of over $100.00, the first ever. In 2008 gold almost made a $100.00 move, but not quite. Gold has made a first-ever 24-hour move of $150.00. The US markets took a bath but have been recovering well.

I think Trump is testing the market to see how far he can push it so that he can eventually set tariffs at the correct level. This morning gold has hit a new high of $3,237.00.

Sell: (28 Mar 2025) Uranium is a sell and looking weak. This week’s gyrations have formed a base from which a buy could emanate.

SELL bitcoin versus gold (30 March 2025). Some indicators have changed to a buy, but I would wait for a more positive signal.

BTCUSD: SELL: 29 March 2025. Bitcoin could not hold the upward trajectory against the fall of the NASDAQ (Cyan). There are tiny signals pointing to an upward trend. They have to become stronger to trigger a buy.

Silver to Gold Ratio

Gold outperforming Silver. (Signal given 18 March 2025) Signals all over the place. The trend is gold outperforming silver. At one point this week the ratio was 105.79:1. When we think that silver is coming out of the ground at about 8:1 something is way out of kilter.Silver is an astounding buy at this time or gold is in for an extremely heavy correction.
